Do I need the
dish attachment kit in order to use the ALIGN-A-SITE unit? |
| No. The
ALIGN-A-SITE unit can be used independently for pre-sighting
and finding a suitable location with a clear line of sight
to the satellite coordinates for your portable dish. It is
also helpful in finding the best location to park your RV if
you have a roof mounted dish system. You
would then need to align your dish to those coordinates in
the conventional manner as described in the “SETTING
UP YOUR DISH” section of the instructions that
came with your dish. |

How would the
dish attachment kit benefit me? |
| Although
ALIGN-A-SITE can be used independently, the optional dish
attachment kit was developed to work in conjunction with
ALIGN-A-SITE to make it quicker, easier and more precise to
accurately aim your dish by allowing for the alignment of
all three coordinates simultaneously and to verify a clear
line of sight after alignment. And because the dish
attachment kit is permanently mounted to your dish, it’s
accuracy is not affected in any way whatsoever by the
levelness of the dish, the dish stand, or the ground it sets

I already have
an automatic satellite dish on my RV. How can ALIGN-A-SITE
benefit me? |
| Even though
your automatic satellite dish can find and lock onto a
satellite signal, you must first have your RV parked in a
location that has a clear line of sight for it to get a
maximum signal or to work at all. ALIGN-A-SITE’s
pre-sighting feature allows you to find and park your RV in
such a suitable location. If you unable to find a clear line
of sight to park your RV, but wish to still park in your
chosen location, ALIGN-A-SITE will enable you to quickly and
easily find a suitable location for your portable dish.

Why can’t I just
use the markings already on my dish? |
| The tick marks
that are already on the back of the dish are just rough
estimates of the angles shown. They also are extremely
dependent on the levelness of the mounting hardware or pole
that the dish mounts to. If this hardware or pole is not
perfectly level, then these tick marks are even more
inaccurate. A majority of the effort, time, and difficulty
spent trying to align a dish correctly is due to these two
factors alone! ALIGN-A-SITE eliminates this problem by
measuring and aligning the dish DIRECTLY off the dish itself
and is not dependant in any way on the levelness of the dish
stand or accuracy of the tick marks. |

Will
ALIGN-A-SITE increase my signal strength? |
| No. Although
ALIGN-A-SITE will help you to point your dish in the correct
direction to receive the strongest possible signal, it can
not increase the signal strength that you are able to
receive. It does allow you to see any obstructions that may
be in your signal path that would effect your signal
strength however. |

it to find the signal? |
| Although these
electronic signal finders are sometimes useful to fine-tune
the signal for maximum strength AFTER the dish has initially
been pointed in the correct direction, they do not provide
any means for finding a clear line of sight or initially
pointing the dish in the correct direction. These tools are
useless if you can not get a minimal signal to begin with. |

| No. Everything
you need comes with the ALIGN-A-SITE unit. There are no
special tools required to use the ALIGN-A-SITE. During the
